Financial Controller (Accounting&Reporting)

For our prestigious client leader in forest industry we are looking for Financial Accounting and Reporting Controller. The business unit we are recruiting for create renewable and responsible wood-based alternatives for fossil-based materials utilizing our expertise in engineering, innovation and digitalization.

Role ensuring tax, statutory and IFRS reporting are on time and correct in defined area. Ensuring accurate and on time VAT filing, correct recognition of equity shares, taxes and other liabilities and receivables. Contribution to defined process activity levels. Active participation to process network in own area.

Main responsibilities:

  • Regulation and reporting changes implemented correctly​
  • Contribution to process improvement in own expertise area​
  • Contribution to Knowledge center in own area (documentation and training)​
  • High quality financial services provided ​
  • Responsibility and ownership of defined legal entity/entities reporting ​
  • Ensure account data accuracy, reporting and filing processes on timely manner for group, statutory and tax purposes​
  • Participate in continuous improvement of accounting and reporting services, processes and systems​
  • Part of service team delivering timely, accurate and effective accounting services​
  • Ensuring quality and compliance in defined area​
  • Perform complex financial transactions and closing tasks​
  • Coordinate monthly closing process in defined area​
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned by superior​

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in accounting, taxation and reporting processes​
  • Ability to understand complex processes and data flows​
  • Experience of modern ETL and BI reporting tools​
  • Good change readiness​
  • Good leadership skills​
  • Good influencing and collaboration skills in global organization​
  • Expertise in defined process area is an advantage​
  • Experience of similar industry and business processes are considered as a major asset​
  • Fluency in English, other language skills are a benefit​
  • At least bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years of experience​
