For our prestigious client, the leader in the travel industry who offers services to 160 million customers we are looking for a Java (Scala) Developer. The company has been operating on the Polish market since 2001. The company's business includes the sale of tours, airline tickets, and hotel reservations along with additional services such as travel insurance and car hire.

We are looking for people who have experience in Scala or are open to learning. Cooperation in a hybrid model in a modern office located in Business Garden.

Your responsibilities:

• developing Search Engine based on Scala/Java, SOLR, APIs, Apache Spark,
• taking part in creating an architecture of our new infrastructure,
• participating in conceptual work of new projects,
• helping to choose the right technology,
• cooperating with developers from different countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary)
  
  
  

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience with Scala or Java,
• advanced knowledge of object-oriented or functional programming,
• practical knowledge of Akka-http, Circle, Cats, Doobie,
• knowledge of design patterns and practical usage of SOLID,
• experience in integration with REST APIs,
• familiarity with big data topics,
• practical knowledge of NoSQL databases,
• ability to work in a group,
• good English communication skills,
• willingness to develop competencies.
