We are looking for a Production Manager for the newly established branch of a British company dealing in the production of dietary supplements and sport nutrition. The person in this position will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of the brand-new manufacturing facility at Wroclaw site.
Main responsibilities:
- Full budgetary responsibility for the Manufacturing Facility.
- Supporting and executing a continuous improvement plan across the Manufacturing Department.
- Develop policies and procedures for the Manufacturing processes in order to ensure optimisation and compliance with standards and regulations.
- Forecasting and agreeing budgets and timescales in relation to production.
- Responsible for implementing processes to ensure maximum production efficiency and continual improvement and progress within the department, including specification, planning and implementation of additional equipment and machinery.
- Full responsibility for all employees within the production department; including the development and mentoring of supervisors, setting department KPIs and managing individual performance, identifying training needs and development planning.
- Ultimately responsible for maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
- Taking full responsibility for health and safety and food safety in the clean rooms and responsible to the FSA, Trading Standards and Soil Association during audits.
Requirements:
- At least 5 year's experience Managing in Food Manufacturing with previous experience of working in a fast-paced growing business.
- Strong leadership and motivator with good English written and verbal communication skills
- Previous execution of a semi-automated operation.
- Advanced knowledge of 'best in class' manufacturing techniques.
- Commercial awareness and experience of negotiating large contracts.
- Proven and extensive experience in a manufacturing management role within a food powder production environment
- Strong technical knowledge and experiences with powder manufacturing lines, ideally Matcon with significant experience in managing manufacturing environment changes in both process and machinery
- High level report preparation and experience managing budgets
- Qualifications in Health and Safety (HACCP) and Food Hygiene (GMP/ GHP) with good working knowledge of best practice.
