Operating internationally, their growing brand innovates by uncovering new destinations and enhancing existing ones, while collaborating with 10,000 tourist agencies through an efficient distribution system built on exclusive contracts and robust partner support.
They are looking for a motivated and experienced
Sales Area Manager to join the team in Poland. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the tourism industry and be able to effectively build and maintain relationships with travel agencies. The Manager will also be able to promote our products and services to agencies and their clients.
Location: Katowice
Reports to: Head of Sales
In this role you will be responsible for:
- comprehensive management of the subordinate sales region (Katowice Area)
- building decent sales channel with travel agencies in the respective region
- taking an active role in establishing regional sales strategy that will impact the global one
- monitoring and analyzing sales and product trends, making smart conclusions and calling for actions if needed
- conducting effective commercial negotiations with the partners that will lead to business development
- finding new solutions for effective sales development
- taking an active role in presentations, workshops meetings as well as study tours
- constant development of the agency network in the subordinate sales region and building and maintaining relationships with travel agencies
- supporting companies brand development and creating a positive image of the company
- market research and monitoring of competitors' activities and air traffic
- constant improvement of the quality of agent service by conducting product and system training
Professional experience and skills:
- 3+ years of experience in the tourism industry
- 5+ years of experience in a sales role
- knowledge of geography and popular tourist destinations
- analytical skills and the ability to draw correct conclusions
- knowledge about merlinx/bluevendo reservation system (nice to have)
- result-oriented person, resistant to stress and working under time pressure outside the home
- developed interpersonal skills, are communicative and committed
- do well in public speaking
- ability to work in a team and effectively organize their own work
- ready for frequent business trips and have a category B driving license
- very good communication and teamwork skills
- MS Office, Excell (merlinx/bluevendo reservation system will be a plus, but is not a must have)
- personal skills - proactive, analytical, understanding sales trends, able to establish new relations and sustain current ones, negotiations skills, openness and out of the box thinking, being able to act under pressure, handling crisis situations, class and charm, empathy
