The product has been used by brokers in Canada and to a lesser extent in the Caribbean for a long time. The system is an on-premise system, typically hosted by a third party on behalf of the client. The work will be conversions/merges of entities on the design, Maintenance of the functionality, additions/changes to functionality such as integrations insurer data downloads, adding new functionality occasionally integration to a third-party CRM system, and dealing with issues that clients/support are having.  The team consists of 10 people including two Developers.

Responsibilities: 

• ​​​​​​​Analyzed problems in current FoxPro applications
• Reviewed existing business applications and supported the system designing
• Implemented coding changes and analyzed current systems
• Provided technical advisory functions regarding system functionality and improvements
• Analyzed and resolved issues relating to output requirements and internal controls
• Maintained programming documentation and prepared training materials

Requirements: 

• ​​​​​​​Very good knowledge of Visual FoxPro
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Ability to use version control systems (CVS)
• Knowledge of English at B2/C1 level
• Analytical abilities
• Experience in systems design
• Communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to work different hours (due to the time difference in Canada)

Nice to have: 

• Knowledge of the insurance sector
