About the role  
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Credit Control Team Leader to lead, develop, and support a team of 4 Credit Controllers responsible for accounts receivable across European markets. This is a critical role within Finance function, tasked with driving collection performance, optimizing working capital, and ensuring compliance with internal credit policies.

You will serve as a key point of contact between Credit Control and other departments, supporting cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:  ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Credit Controllers to meet collection targets, improve DSO, and maintain high levels of customer service and accuracy
• Oversee daily operations of accounts receivable, including aging analysis, risk reviews, dispute resolution, and escalations
• Monitor individual and team KPIs, provide regular feedback, and ensure performance aligns with financial and operational goals
• Conduct regular ledger reviews, support credit limit evaluations, and ensure appropriate risk mitigation actions are taken
• Partner with internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Billing, Legal) to resolve complex issues and improve end-to-end order-to-cash processes
• Identify process inefficiencies and lead or support automation, reporting, and workflow improvements within the AR function
• Prepare and deliver reporting packs, forecasts, and performance insights for senior leadership
• Support audit and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to internal controls and external regulatory requirements
• Act as the escalation point for high-value accounts and complex cases requiring a senior-level approach
• ​​​​​​​Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and shared team success

Key Requirements:​​​​​

• 5+ years of experience in Credit Control, including 1–2 years in a team lead, supervisory, or senior-level role within an international environment
• Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, credit risk assessment, and cash flow optimization
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across diverse teams and cultures
• Fluency in English is essential; additional European language(s) such as German, Dutch, French, or Italian are an advantage
• Ability to interpret and present financial data clearly and concisely to both finance and non-finance audiences
