Our search engine is the cornerstone of our success. It powers our user experience by seamlessly blending results from multiple sources to deliver the most relevant and comprehensive information to our users. As speed matters in the world of search engines we’re constantly working on improving it’s response time, making sure our users get what they need quickly and efficiently. We’re also focusing on enhancing our monitoring capabilities, ensuring that we proactively identify and address any issues to provide uninterrupted services for our users.
All of this relies on effective collaboration with international, cross-functional teams. You’ll work closely with data engineers, software developers, product owners and other experts to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement.

Who are we looking for?
An enthusiastic, seasoned engineer with experience in at least one JVM language (ideally Java or Scala) devoted to constant learning and open to experiment with new approaches with no fear of failure in friendly and supporting environment.
We seek for a partner who would join Search team and bring knowledge and enthusiasm on the board, willing to share experience and ideas.
A person with creative mindset, interested in learning travel industry domain while working on complex system providing services in 7 European countries.
 
Your responsibilities:

• Development of in-company search engine in Scala/ZIO/AkkaHttp technologies

• Being active part of constant system’s architecture evolution

• End-to-end responsibility for work items (from involvement in requirement technical analysis up to production release)

• Cooperation in cross-functional Scrum team

Our requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on working experience with Scala language

• Knowledge of data structures

• Understanding of basic functional programming concepts

• Understanding of DDD paradigm

• Hands-on experience in working with REST APIs

• Very good collaboration and problem solving skills

• Knowledge of relational databases

• Good English and Polish communication skills

• Willingness to constantly learn and develop new skills (especially in Scala)

• Practical knowledge of Scala 

• Practical knowledge of Akka-http, Cats, ZIO

• Practical knowledge of NoSQL databases

• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes

• Practical knowledge of Docker
