Eclipse deploys skills in design, psychology, testing, optimization, technology, and research to iteratively improve customer journeys to drive business outcomes for their clients.
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the international finances and accounting for the business. You will provide financial advice and support to management. You will ensure the required Group reporting takes place on a timely basis, as instructed by the Family Office. For instance, monthly, you will prepare a board pack for the management team, drawing data from your activities as well as the wider business.
This board pack will report key metrics, such as:
• Client profitability
• Project profitability
• Bench costs
• Client payment performance
• Credit risk management
Responsibilities
- You will prepare the monthly management accounts for the Company on the NetSuite platform, including profit & loss statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets assisted by Family Office staff.
- You will collect timesheets and billing information to prepare and send invoices for clients.
- You will review Accounts Receivable ledger balances at month end with credit control and the CEO for potential bad debts.
- You will review the Accounts Payable ledger for discrepancies and liaise with purchase ledger staff to resolve any queries or refunds.
- You will work together with the Management team of Eclipse and the Family Office to prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- You will be required to produce year-end files for the company, including draft statutory financial statements for audit.
- You will review proposals and contracts to ensure that projects are costed correctly that margins are appropriate and that clients have suitable credit ratings and credit insurance.
- You will assist the Sales team in preparing proposals and pricing for clients.
- You will have additional responsibility for payroll, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, and property management will sit with you, and you will manage suppliers to ensure the best value for money for Eclipse.
- You will produce VAT returns and P11D’s for employees of each company, including any amendments during the year.
- Claims for Research and Development tax credits for Eclipse will be managed by you.
- You will have a detailed understanding of the criteria for R&D and maintain records to support any R&D claims by Eclipse.
- Ensure the company adheres to statutory laws and regulations regarding - Finance and others, including those of taxation.
Essential Skills
• NetSuite
• A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
• Management accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Reasonable flexibility with working hours to ensure deadlines are met.
