The client is one of the largest German manufacturing companies with entities all over the world.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
They provide Java Support Specialist for critical and non-critical applications in the automotive production industry for a major automotive company. The purpose is to maintain, control and support the applications in the production lines.
Generally, the client Service Team is commissioned via a ticket in the customer ticket tools (HPSM, Jira, ANFO-DB, ISSUE-DB) or by mail to the client support mailbox, in which the malfunction or the request is clearly described. In exceptional cases, faults can also be reported by telephone.
Application management for various (portal) applications (e.g.: Adminportal, Downloadportal, Six Sigma, Shopper, KRAVAG, GUA, Kfz-WebServices, Hypoport, Online-FinanzStatus, Admiral-Portal, Online-Abschlusstrecken (online closing lines):
Processing of all arising tickets (e.g. incident, problem, issue, request) of the application included in the scope of services
Analysis and correction of malfunctions in coordination with the respective technical and functional contact persons of the customer
Coordination or control of other customer units, if the cause of an occurred error is outside the application.
Preparation and execution of deployments
Implementation of security patches and handling of security problems
Development services within the scope of minor enhancements. All minor enhancements will be discussed between the contracting parties and reviewed with regard to coverage by the present service contract scope. Should the necessary efforts exceed the ordered and available scope, the additionally required capacities/resources will be jointly defined and gladly provided by the client via a separate order.
Annual review/updating of documentation
For the "legacy portals" defined in the scope of services, the following tasks will also be performed:
Execution of technical acceptance tests on the basis of defined test cases during patch days, infrastructure measures, BCM exercises, and deployments (R-Test and production)
Observation of monitoring systems and analysis or correction of anomalies
Quality assurance of further developments, especially with the focus on operational aspects like logging or monitoring
Consulting of software developers regarding code quality and operational aspects
Experienced in Java support role
Experience in any of the following:
Eilffly Application Server
Subversion / SVN
Maven Build (3.6x)
Strong English language skills
Good to have but not required to have an ability to speak German at least A2 level
