Software Development Manager
HR GO Recruitment is recruiting for a prestigious client, the leader in the travel industry who offers services to 160 million customers. The company has been operating in the Polish market since 2001. The company's business includes selling tours, airline tickets, hotel reservations, and additional services such as travel insurance and car hire. Our client is opening new positions at the Wroclaw office in the development department. You will work and develop your skills with a group of talented developers who know various technologies.
We are looking for a Software Development Manager
Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of backend engineers responsible for a Search and Data Ecosystem
- Taking care of the architectural point of view of delivering solutions
- Driving planning and prioritization of projects based on product, technical, and business goals
- Working with the Product Team to build roadmaps and ensure their timely executions
- Gathering and providing feedback, mentoring, and coaching employees
- Responsible for hiring and taking care of the growth of a team of engineers
- Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering and cooperating with other Software Managers to deliver high quality
Requirements:
- 2+ years as an Engineering Manager or similar position
- Familiarity with one of the programming languages: Java, Scala
- Very good understanding of the software development life cycle
- Proven knowledge of building high-quality software and infrastructure which is ready for a high traffic
- A growth mindset and a desire to learn and share knowledge
- Experience building diverse, empowered teams
- Work well under a pressure and thrive in a dynamic environment
- Good understanding of the English language (B2/C1)
